Easy Healthy Breakfast Protein Smoothie

5 indredient chocolate protein shake

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone’s having a fabulous weekend! I’m coming on here to make a quick post on my go-to breakfast smoothie! It’s super easy with only 5 (or 4) ingredients! It takes barely 2 minutes to put it together and it’s especially useful when I’m rushing out the door. This is a chocolate banana protein smoothie that will knock your socks off. I came up with this by finding random leftover stuff at home and voila, this magical smoothie happened! Show some love and try it yourself, you won’t be disappointed!

What you’ll need (what you’ll most likely have at home too)

  1. 1/4 cup rolled oats
  2. 1/2 cup coconut water (optional – if you take it out, add cold water of same quantity)
  3. 1 small banana or plantain
  4. 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder (I use the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey)
  5. 3/4 cup of cold water

Blend, blend, blend for ultimate yumminess!

5 indredient chocolate protein shake

This protein shake is like a creamy chocolate banana milkshake. It’s thick, sweet with the coconut water and banana, but not overly sweet. The thick texture comes from the blended oats. Oats are a great source of dietary fiber which helps digestion. The fibers in oats also take longer to digest which helps you stay full for longer — add on extra oats for more thickness and to make more of a meal out of this drink! The protein content in oats added to the protein from the whey is a great boost to your daily protein intake! I love this shake and you don’t taste the oats much except for the added thickness it gives! I really hope you give this a try – the ingredients are those that you should have lying around at home!

That’s it, guys! I hope you enjoy it and I’ll see you soon!

All my love,
